Mikaela got the amazing opportunity to go to HEFY (Humanitarian Especially For Youth) in Fiji. She was gone for about 3 weeks with almost no communication. I got one short email!! That was rough! She took a ton more pictures that are on her blog - but here are a few I got from her instagram and from another parent that went.
Her walking away - she had to do a lot of hard things on this trip. And all on her own. She was a rockstar. I think I cried the whole way home!
Then as I was torturing myself the next day cleaning I saw this note in her room. My heart.....

Nothing could have been better then hugging this girl again. I missed her so much!!!
It was almost midnight but we had brownies and ice cream waiting. The boys were so happy to have their sister back. She had an amazing experience!
