A little bit of November

Visiting Scheels and their really big Ferris Wheel.  The kids loved it!

I hosted all the Smith's for Thanksgiving.  We had it at the church.  It was my first year not having it at a home, but it turned out really good!  I tried to make it feel as much like home as I could.  We had great food, a first annual bingo game, movies, crafts, and lots of play time!

Koby Renaissance feast!  I can't believe how cool this was.  Koby had a part in the taming of the shrew.  He did great!

Karsten at his Thanksgiving party for pre-school.  Taking a picture with Mr. Turkey.

I didn't get to add these pictures for Halloween so I thought I would add them now because Kai looked really cool! :)

I haven't ever really met a celebrity before.  I was at Cafe Rio with my friends from high school when Brooke White came in.  She is a singer from American Idol season 7.  I absolutely love her!  I saw her there and wanted to take a picture with her, but wanted to give her space.  My friends didn't so they went up to her and asked if she would take a picture with me.  I am so grateful for them!!

Megan and Katie - I am so glad we are still such good friends!! :)

At Abby and Brynn's play - Charlottes web.  They did so good! :)

Kai turns 6 :)

We started off by having a Mario party with Kai's friends the Saturday before.

This is so not what I wanted his Bowser cake to look like, but I had managed to have Mikaela's late b-day party on Friday night which consisted of a sleep over and then a baby shower for a friend the next day at 1.  I then had Kai's party at 5:30.  So this is what he got.  I am just glad the candles didn't burn Bowser.  He seemed thrilled and that is all that mattered! :)

Kai's actual B-Day was on Thanksgiving this year.  We both got sick on Wed.  (I had the stomach flu and he had a sick tummy along with a fever - but didn't get as sick as me.)  He still wasn't feeling great on his special day so he told me that he just wanted some cereal for his breakfast.  Normally he wanted eggs with cheese because that is his favorite.  So I lucked out.  (Even better because I was still not feeling well.)

I found these really cool stickers for the wall.  Kai is obsessed with Mario right now so it won't surprise you when you see the pictures below on what he asked for his bday.

All of the super mario stuffed animals.  So he can play them in real life.  (I didn't get all of them, but pretty close.)

Such a happy boy! :)

Celebrating with the Smith cousins for Thanksgiving.

Another cake..

What can I say about my sweet boy Kai.  He is such a sweet tender hearted boy.  He is doing so well in Kindergarten.  He has started to read and is doing so well at that!  He is really good at minding and is such a good helper.  He still cries really easy, but can turn it around to a laugh really fast! :)  He is always saying the funniest things and has the best smile!  We love our Kai Kai so much!!

Cute Sophie :)

I got interested in a company called Solle Naturals.  It is all about health and herbs and oils.  They had a big convention and wanted me to put together a basket for their heart and solle foundation.  I did it for my cute niece Sophie who was just diagnosed with SMA which is a spinal disorder.  Here is the basket I gave her.  She was so excited!!  I love my Sophie! :)

October Part 2

Happy Birthday Mikaela!  Our beautiful daughter is officially a teenager.  Mikaela is all about fashion, soccer and friends!  She is the most amazing daughter!  She has the sweetest spirit about her and is adored by her brothers.  We love you Mikaela! :)

All she wanted was an I-Touch.  A little expensive for our B-Day's but she said she would babysit for free for a really long time.  It was a pretty good deal for us!

Her friend Lexi made her a chocolate mint cake with Andes mints which are her favorite!  We ate it the day after her b-day.  (There was too much going on Thursday night.)

Her b-day never stopped.  That weekend we went to city creek with our friends Heather and Hannah.

And how perfect is Mikaela's favorite store H&M.  It stands for Hannah & Mikaela. :)

More cake at Mikaela's favorite restaurant - the cheese cake factory.

And then to end her b-day marathon we finished with celebrating with her cousin Luke with the Skousen side.

 Happy Halloween 2012!
