Matty's Birthday plus a dog and cute Nursery kids!

Happy Birthday to Matt.  He turned 39 and kept a pretty happy attitude for his special day.  He was wondering why he had so many pink bag presents.  I don't think I have bought a new B-Day bag in years. :)

Matt with his cute kids.  Why couldn't our Christmas picture turn out this good?  Just look at those smiles and all at the same time. :)

Matt didn't want a big dessert so the kids decided it would be more fun to get donuts.  Matt agreed.  Even better with only 1 candle!

Kai came home as dog after Pre-School one day.  We loved having another pet. :)

I took this cute picture of Karsten's Nursery class.  Can you believe we live in Utah and there is only one nursery with 5 kids???

Christmas 2011 :)

Christmas Morning in PJ'S

This picture doesn't do it justice but Mikaela made a whole Polar Express room for her brothers.  We got it all on video but not very many pictures.  Mikaela decorated our wagon and put it downstairs for the boys to ride then she gave them tickets which she hole punched words into.  She made tracks out of newspaper that covered the whole basement.  One part there were no tracks and that was suppose to be where they hit the ice.  Then they had hot chocolate and entered the north pole which is this room that was decorated with snowflakes and white stuff on the floor.  They had pictures all over the room that made you feel like you were at the north pole.  The best part was that Mikaela had music in the wagon that was play the same music from the Polar Express.  She is very creative!  She worked so hard!  Wish I would have taken more pictures!!

New Christmas clothes :)
*I didn't take as many pictures this Christmas because Santa surprised us with a new video camera.  We took a ton of video instead.  But we had a wonderful Christmas!  I loved having it on Sunday.  It was such an amazing day!  We feel so blessed for all we have and are so grateful for our Savior and for all that he has blessed us with!

Family Christmas Pics 2011

Musical Christmas

Mikaela and Koby had their first piano recital with their amazing teach Ty!  They did so great and we are so happy to have such an amazing teacher.

Kai had his Christmas program.  He goes to the Tree house Pre-School which is lead by the most amazing teacher.  (Ty's mom) :)  Kai did so great.  This may come as a shock for those who know Kai but he actually sang the loudest.  Sometimes not on tune but that is ok with us.  He was all smiles and had such a fun time!

Karsten being cute.

Koby wanted a picture too.  We had just cut all of his hair off.  He looks so handsome!

Kai and his class.

Santa came and visited Kai's class so I took him and Karsten.  When Santa asked what Kai wanted he started on a 2 minute speech of some kind of Sonic Car.  Good thing for Santa or I wouldn't have any idea what my kids want.  Although I am not sure Santa understood a word of what Kai said!

All Karsten wanted was a trick or treat.  :)

We headed to Temple Square before Christmas.  It was so cold, but so beautiful!  Totally worth it!!

I want to frame this picture.  Absolutely breathtaking!!

Sampsonite time!

Instead of doing gifts with the Sampson's this year we decided to have a fun family night.  We made a yummy dinner and then headed out for bowling and Yogurt.  It was such a fun night!  We love the Sampson's!!
Some of my pictures didn't turn out the best but the kids had so much fun!  Karsten always wanted it to be his turn!!  And he wasn't afraid to the heaviest ball.

 Kaela had great form!

Koby did great too!

Having fun waiting their turn.

Mitchell was such a great help to the younger kids!

In front of the Sampson's tree.  We have this same pose when our kids were younger.  Now we have a few more to go around that tree. :)

Karsten at Orange Leaf where we got yogurt.  His hair and shirt matched the chair. :)

Frosty the Snowman

We had this left on our doorstep by Aunt Abby and Uncle Jason.  Karsten fell in love with it.  He always had to have it up!  The first thing he did when he woke up was to check Frosty.  "We have to help Frosty"  were words I heard a lot because Frosty had fallen down.  He always gave him hugs.  The only sad part was that we had to drop it off on another family member's porch.  He still is sad and wants to go and and get Frosty from the other house.  "Really quick mommy"  :)

Kai's Primary teachers made the cutest stable in Primary.  I had never seen that before.  Very cute!!

Koby loves to point out Sunsets.  Too bad the picture doesn't do it justice.  It was so beautiful!!

Face mask and Pirate teeth

So I am catching up a bit hear.  I haven't even posted Christmas!!  It has been a whirlwind.  We have managed to not get too sick this season but for the first time ever Karsten developed Croup.  None of my other kids have ever had it so it really scared me!!  Karsten had to have a breathing treatment and a steroid but by the next day he was doing much better.  He did so good at the Doctors.
I guess it was because it was 9 pm.

Next was our sweet Kai.  You can't tell really well by these pictures, but Kai has the softest teeth in the world!  He has already had several cavities.  Between his last 6 month app. two of his teeth started to decay and he had to have nerve treatments done and two silver teeth put on.  I was a little sad at first, but luckily these teeth will fall out.  Hopefully his adult teeth will be stronger!  We tell Kai he is really special because he has two pirate teeth.  Luckily he is thrilled with that. He even showed them off for Show and tell. :)
