Martin's Cove

A visit to Martin's cove to see our Grandpa & Grandma Smith who serve as Missionaries there.  We got to take a mule to go all around where most kids who come have to walk.

We saw lots of Antelope.

With Grandpa Smith and the most amazing sculptures of the pioneers.  It literally brought tears to my eyes.

This man is holding a child reaching for his mom and a baby in his coat as they crossed the river.

This is the cove where many people died.  They were pretty amazing people.

The kids at the welcome gate.

Of coarse they had to try pulling some wagons. :)

Karsten thought he could do it by himself. :)

But then he thought it would be more fun to ride in the wagon.

Matt at Devils gate.  It really is of the Devil because this is almost the spot that I saw a Rattle Snake.  Yes me of all people - the person who hates snakes more then anyone on this earth.  I screamed and ran back the other way with Kai on my back.  (Grandpa said I almost gave him a heart attack but it was me who almost had the heart attack.)  I did not continue the with the rest of the gang and I most likely won't be returning to Martin's Cove.  But up to this point it was really amazing!

Grandpa and Karsten taking a rest.

Right before we left to come back home. Glad we got to visit Grandpa & Grandma Smith! :)

Leftovers - not what you think

These are the last of the pictures on Matt's phone.  I didn't want to do individual pictures so here is a random blog.  *Mikalea got to be a ball helper at the Real Salt Lake Soccer game - pretty cool.  * Karsten wearing spider man goggles.  *Koby got Caterpillars from his Grandpa Smith.  They hatched into butterflies which was really cool.  Koby got to hold one before it flew away.  *Matt being cute with the kids.  *Koby at Stadium of Fire.  He went to see David Archuleta who didn't sing long.  Koby was sad. *Karsten and Kai riding a wood horse at our new favorite Yogurt place - Orange Leaf.  *Pictures Matt took of Mikaela and Karsten at Thanksgiving point.
And that is your leftovers! :)

Golf

We put Koby in Golf this summer.  He got to go and play with his Dad and Grandpa Skousen.  He had so much fun!  We think Koby will do better at individual sports. :)

1-2-3

1 - Matt with Kai and Karsten in the lazy river.
2 - Karsten loves yogurt.  He isn't suppose to have it - but he goes and opens the fridge, gets the step stool and gets a yogurt then he closes everything up puts the stool away, gets a spoon out and takes the top of the yogurt and eats it all gone.  This is how I find him. :)
3 - I took Mikaela to her first concert - Selena Gomez.  It was amazing and she had so much fun!

Shark

Koby had one of his Best Friends from Washington come and visit so we took them to Thanksgiving point to see the Shark.  Also pictured is Mikaela and her new bling in her hair, Koby at scout camp doing the flag and yes Karsten who loves to get into my makeup.  I thought he was cute and funny at first and I don't buy expensive makeup so it didn't bug me until I got into my bathroom and saw that he wasted all my expensive night cream that he thought was lotion.  Then he was not so cute!

Swimming

We took these pictures after swimming - Had to capture Kai's huge stamp on his head from falling off his bike when we took the training wheels off.  The other random picture is the kids at Thanksgiving point when they had a Pirate Party going on.

SMILE :)

I just downloaded a bunch of pictures from my phone.  I have made some collages to post them - there are too many. :)  Mikaela takes a ton of pictures with her and the kids in the car while they are waiting for me.
