So this is going to be long and a good journal entry for me. A year ago I met this wonderful baby for the first time. He has been such a sweet baby. Because he is my last I can honestly say I have treasured every moment with him. I got sad tonight as I realized that this was my last first Birthday. I am sure I will have a lot of sad moments with a lot of last moments. I am so grateful for this baby boy. He completes our family and we are all so much in love with him. He isn't walking yet, but can stand by himself and move around furniture. He crawls really fast and is trying to master going down the stairs by himself. He gets so excited when he sees or hears his brothers or sister. He kicks his legs and smiles really big! He loves to hear music. He will either dance or crawl very fast to the piano room to help whomever is playing. He can really only say Da Da - he says it for everything. But he has learned how to sign "Eat." (Go figure - since that is his favorite thing to do.) He loves his doggy AJ - it is good we saved him. (I have to keep reminding Matt that.) He is a little trouble maker and gets into everything. (My other children never did this - so he keeps all of us running.) But most of all he melts our hearts with his smile and loves! He is such a happy baby. We love you baby Karsten!

Karsten's fun Day!
Karsten had a pretty fun Birthday. We pulled the kids out of school and took all of them swimming in the morning. Then Karsten got a good nap. We then walked to the store to get a few last things for our dinner. Karsten then got to swing, eat, open presents, eat cake, have a bath and then go to bed. He wasn't feeling all that great and only got one nap so he didn't get as excited about his cake and presents like I thought he would. He smiled and liked the attention. He loved us singing to him and he liked his cake. He didn't dive into it or cry - He just ate it until he was done. Pretty low key day but fun for a one year old! (To see the pictures better, just click on the collage.)
Cake Time!
We had the Missionaries over for Karsten's B-day. Elder Facuri took these amazing photos of Karsten. He got some pretty great shots!
