SURPRISE!!!
For Mikaela's B-Day we surprised her with a trip to Utah. Lets just say I did a really good job of pulling this thing off!! (I was going to my second families daughter Brooke's wedding so I decided to take Mikaela and Karsten with me.) When she found out in the car on the way to the airport, she cried tears of joy! I almost cried with her. Kai's classic line was wondering if we saw a ghost because there was a lot of screaming. :) It was a very quick trip and I am sorry I wasn't able to see a lot of people, but it was a b-day gift Mikaela will never forget. Karsten loved the head phones and the ice on the plane. We were excited with whatever would entertain him. :)
MIKAELA IS 11 :)
The night before she had her dreams come true and got to be with some of her favorite cousins for a combined B-Day party with her cousin Luke. That night about 11:30 she got sick to her stomach and had to sleep on the floor. We tried to have a yummy crepe breakfast for her, but she still wasn't feeling good. After some rest and a warm bath, she started to perk up and by dinner was doing a little better. She wanted to go to Olive Garden so we took her. She also wanted flourless chocolate cake. We let her have a couple of bites. :) (I have been so organized this week with everything going on, but for some reason I have not bought candles in years, so this was all we had.) We love you Mikaela! You are such a wonderful example to all of us. You are the best sister your brothers could ever ask for and the best daughter! We are so proud of you and we love you so much!! :)

Kai's soccer
I laughed so hard at Kai's first soccer game. He wanted to score a goal so bad that he moved everything in his way to make that happen. (Even his own team members.) The funniest part was every time someone else took the ball away or he didn't score he turned around crying and started to come off the field. Luckily by the second game he scored three goals and there was no more crying. (But maybe some roaring, because they were the lions.) :)
We couldn't keep this little red off the field. He is already ready to play! :)
