Kai's swimming

Kai did not like his swimming. Every time we got in the car he would say "no swimmim". He also hated the sun in his eyes when he floated on his back and would let Pam know it. At the end of every session he would get smiley stamps and the funniest thing was that right when he would get in he would start asking for smilies. It was cute!

My cute two month old

I can't believe Karsten is two months old. He is smiling so much now and growing out of everything! At his appointment he weighed 14 pounds and 10 ounces and was 24 inches long. He is 97% for weight and 90% for length. He is keeping up with his brothers! :) He also had his second hearing test because he failed his right ear at birth. He passed perfectly - so we were happy. One last time

I thought I was saying goodbye to my Grandpa Skousen last September, but he made it back to Utah this past month. His health has really faded so I am pretty sure this will be the last time I see him. It was really hard to say goodbye, but I am just really glad I got to see him again!

My cute Kids!

We got this picture on the day of Karsten's blessing. I didn't get any fourth of July pictures or a family picture all together at the blessing so this will have to do.

Reunion and the Ranch

We had so much fun at the ranch this year. We had a Skousen reunion and a Horse/Cooking camp that Grandpa and Grandma did. The kids had so much fun. Kai loved the horses and the horses loved him! (Grandpa also had another baby horse - what a cutie!)

Fun visits

We did so much while we were in Utah. Since we have moved so much we have met some amazing people. We celebrated the 4th with our great Friends the Browns from Reno. I am sad that I don't have any pictures of that night. I was still in shock from the broken arm.

We have two amazing sets of Sampson friends!! (I know - we are blessed!) We had dinner and hung out at the Samsonite's the day after Koby broke his arm. He couldn't play much, but had fun in their sandbox. Here is a picture of the kids together.

Sadie, Kai and Karsten

Koby, Kade, Mitchelle and Mikaela.

We went to Lagoon and met Katy, Brian and Max Sampson there. Luckily Koby had his hard cast on then and was able to ride any ride. He even rode the crazy ride wicked and when the ride was over and they were about to get off he yelled "That was totally wicked!" It was pretty funny!

I am so grateful that Matt has kept in touch with his friends from high school. His great friend Matt McComber and his cute family were in Utah at the same time so we got to go to a park and have lunch. It was great to see them!

Karsten's Blessing

Thanks to my wonderful brother and sister-in-law (Todd and Jolynn) - they opened up their home and let us have Karsten's blessing there. Matt did a great job. It started out to be a wonderful night. Here are some pictures.

Then right before we were going to take a family photo, we had our first ER experience. Koby was climbing up the slide that he had poured water on (although he tried to blame it on our cute little friend Brian.:)) and fell off breaking both bones in his left fore arm. I am very glad I didn't have a picture of his arm or my face when I saw his arm. Not a pretty sight. Koby did pretty good through it all. He cried a lot at first and then as his dad was holding him in the car on the way to the ER he said that he was trying to be brave and stopped crying. He made friends with everyone in the ER and had them all laughing by the time we left at midnight. He has been such a trooper with his broken arm. He had to miss soccer camp and swimming but he has had such a good attitude through it all. (I will add that I could not stop crying and Mikaela had all her cousins praying. I am glad Matt took control and got in the car as quickly as possible.)
