I am sad to have to be able to write a post about a wonderful man who left this earthly world on February 24th, 2015. He passed away very unexpectedly. He went into his hot tub Monday night after saying prayers with his wife Dawn. Then he was found by his neighbor the next morning. He death was ruled a drowning. Our guess is that it was too hot and he must of passed out. It came as a very big shock to all of us. He was the most loving, non-judgmental, happy person I knew. He will be missed by all of us so much. I am sad that my kids won't get to be around his contagious energy anymore. He was truly an amazing man.
Since he was in the Air Force - we were able to have a gun ceremony. It was really cool.
It was neat that it was snowing, but it would have been nice if the wind didn't have to blow.
They had a flag ceremony also.
We were choked up with tears all day remembering this sweet man who in our eyes left this earth way too soon!
Kirsten did not like any of this day. He wouldn't look at Grandpa in the casket and at the gravesite he hid in the blanket.
Karsten informed his dad that he was now an orphan. We laughed a little at this but in reality it is really sad that these wonderful children have lost both of their parents at such a young age.
And we had to do a crazy face picture. Just to keep it light....
I love this picture of Dawn! She was so good to Mark.
Koby really wanted to put something on Grandpa's casket.
Uncle Jason saved us with bonding with Karsten. We were so grateful.
The Smith boy cousins...
Funny face...
Smith kids and Warnick grandkids.
Koby and Ollie - oh how they love each other.
