This was taken at the top of the Hyatt Hotel. (Where the Patriots play.)
I ventured out to the French Quarters. This is one of the many bands playing in the street.
Some cool monuments.
Matt said I had to go here to get some beignet. I had to walk pretty far to get their version of a donut.
I wish I had a close up of this picture. There is a mime on the other side dressed up like a soldier. He was cool.
Lots of carriage rides. I should have taken one on the way back......
A beautiful Cathedral in the Quarters.
The river - I tried to get the ferry in the background.
This is a picture of the famous beignet. I was trying to take this picture to send to Matt when I got approached by my long lost love - or so he thought. I couldn't even take the picture because my nerves were getting to me as this sweet man felt the need to become attached. Luckily I had two more donuts in the bag that I gave him. It helped release him holding my hand. I left very quickly only to get lost, get rained on and went down a few wrong streets that I was the only white person. Not the funnest experience, but it was a great story to tell when I got home. (This is why I said I should have taken a carriage ride back to my hotel.:))
Matt was a trooper to watch the kids while I was gone. This is a picture of Karsten and his friend. He said "dad take a picture of us and put in on Instagram". :)
