My sweet Angel

So I just loved this picture of Kai.. But the cute story is really about Mikaela.
On Thursday one of the girls in her class asked what she was going to be for Halloween. She said a power ranger. The girl said "isn't that kind of young?" and then laughed. When Mikaela came home and told me this story I got defensive and said "well what did the girl say she was going to be?" Mikaela said a Tiger. And I said "you should of told her and a Tiger isn't young?" Then with the sweetest face of angel Mikaela said, "But mom that wouldn't be very Christ Like. That is not what Jesus would say."

Wow - I learned a big lesson from my 9 year old. I just hugged her and told her I was a bad mommy and not to ever listen to my advise because she is on the right track! I hope she always stays this inocent!!

(I guess growing up with 5 brothers and being a red head with freckles, I had to learn to always have a comback. Usually it was not a nice one.)

Kids always teach us the simple lessons in life. I too admire the innocence of children and wish that they could stay that way. I guess that is not the eternal plan of our Savior.

Hey Whitni I found your blog and couldn't resist. Your kids are getting so big. Mikalia is beautiful. I just wanted you to know that you were always so nice to me. I wanted to tell you thank you. Thanks Leslie Wilson

That made me cry. Isn't it funny how the momma-bear comes out in us, but our kids just shrug it off and remain innocent? Kids are the greatest teachers.

What a sweetie! I just love being in primary for that very reason. I learn so many lessons from them! You must have done something right!

That is a sweet story. You have great kids because you are a great mommy! Hope you're feeling better.

So cute! I love the precious things kids say. What a great example she is setting for her younger brothers. Are you coming home for Thanksgiving?

Whit, Are you coming for Christmas? We are wanting to plan a dinner. Even if it's in January.
